Situated in the shadow of Mount Muirhead, one of the region's oldest volcanoes, Millicent is ideally located for exploring the western side of the Kanawinka Geo-park and nearby Canunda National Park. Surrounded by large managed forests the town has developed into a bustling rural centre and offers a wide choice of restaurants and accommodation facilities.
